Think of the face… as it ages as being like a partially deflated balloon. The loss of fat, bone absorption and reduced muscle tone causes the face to deflate leading to flattening of the cheek structure, lines and wrinkles and sagging of the jowls.
Derma-fillers re-inflate the face producing a very natural look that generally takes years off the facial features. Generally this will give a much more “natural” appearance than a facelift. We call this process “volumising” or the “liquid facelift”.
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected into the skin to physically lift and sculpt it, correcting wrinkles, folds, scars and asymmetries of the face. Dermal fillers are used for sculpting, shaping lips, cheeks, down turned mouth corners, chin and jawline as well as for lip enlargement. They can also be used to correct some scars, plump up the lips or correct asymmetries of the face by adding volume.
Different fillers are used to address different skin problems.
The most popular dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite.
